It's one like this:

No idea. It seems to me that it's just not a good connection in there. I'm going to play with it this weekend. Gonna order a new inline fuse holder from Knu Konceptz.

One the plus size I'm going to upgrade the big 3 while I'm at it. Just doing 4ga, though. I don't need 1/0 simply because I'm not cranking out a high-end electrical system. 4ga is plenty for my needs and the difference would be negligible, especially at the short distances the wires are ran.

Word. Will do, then. Gotta order the supplies. I'm actually going to try and go with 1/0 because it looks like Ford already uses something close to 4ga for + to alternator and - to engine block.

I'm thinking now that voltage drops are causing the problems. I still feel it's at the fuses, but the voltage drop is the main cause. Hopefully upgrading will fix it. Hopefully. :(

Well the other day it was doing it about every time I'd start up and start driving.

Took the back seats off yesterday so I could pull off the road when it happened next and diagnose it as it was out. Hasn't happened since. Just my luck.

Gonna go ahead with the Big 3 or Big 4 upgrade (gotta decide if I want to do the 4th). I'll continue it in a new thread and once it's complete I'll put together a write-up for '04-'08 F150s, with materials list, tools list, and what goes where.

Small bump. Everything's been working flawlessly---whatever the problem was is gone now. I still think it was at the fuses, because I re-cut the power wire for both and re-did the connections. Since then it's been perfect.

So I'm done for now. Although I'll probably be upgrading the components and speakers pretty soon. :naughty:

One thing I'm working on is finding my speedometer cable (which I think is electronic, not sure). Going to try and hook it up to my head unit so the GPS displays my speed and calculates gas mileage for me.
