03 taurus won't stay running

Won't stay running on idle at dead stop. New pcv valve. Engine light isn't on. Won't stay running on idle long enough for a scan tool. Any ideas

Look for a vacuum leak.

No vaccum leaks. Car has 175,xxx miles on it.

IAC valve may be sticking. Can try cleaning it to see if that helps, though cleaning doesn't guarantee to fix.... luckily they're not very expensive.

Ok this is weird. After letting the car sit for 2 to hours. It runs fine now on idle. I guess it was dirty gas from where I last pumped it from.

Letting it sit then it works isn't bad gas. I'm with Matt, probably a sticky IAC. Didn't throw and codes? Maybe even a TPS. Just saying, don't be surprised if this issue doesn't show it's face again. Good news is, if it's just idle, at least you won't be stranded somewhere. Whudda you doing with a Taurus anyway?
