    It's About Time

T, I don't think the box shape will work well in replacement of the round shape. Might be a rough ride.

    Husband Wants To Buy

I keep telling him to just drive the MG until he finds something he cannot pass up. But he has this itch and on the 2nd the '70 Rover is gone to a new home. And once we go out to Maryland, we have the little 450SL to restore. So we don't really need something now, but he is very persistent and...

I need some help with some Ford bell housing bolts

You can pick up the tool at a hardware store for a few bucks. It will measure diameter, threads, head depth, metric, and standard. Just a little piece of sheet metal that will fit in your wallet.

That's the one he keeps talking about. This is really his choice. All I can do is throw out suggestions. I already have what I want. Now it's his turn with guidance. But we hate having a truck note, so he may not even do anything. We'll see. Very wishy washy he is.

Yep it's 4Hi all the time, 4 speed, 33" tires, lifted, +700 pounds of aftermarket bumpers, rock sliders, roof rack, skid plates, and me driving. Last time we had it weighed it was 6300 pounds.

Buying Chevy Malibu or Ford Fusion

I just crunched the front end of a Fusion a few months back. Pretty cheap to repair concidering it was the hood, grill, radiator, fan, bumper, airbags, and a few other little things. Didn't hit it that hard backing up. Just a small oops but a bunch a plastic met a bunch of armor plating...

    Husband Wants To Buy

Mom's 4x4 XTerra gets pretty good MPG and we had an '08 Frontier that we traded for the'70 Rover and it wasn't too bad on gas. The 2500 Burb 4x4 didn't get much better than the Nissan. And my truck only gets 8. So any improvement is good. :D

What did you do to your truck today?

Nothing to the truck. But pulled the starter off the MG to have it tested. And then worked on friends '68 Camaro window actuators then did donuts with it in the circle before the belt shredded.

    Husband Wants To Buy

Well, we went car looking today. I think that Mark might go with the Nissan Armada. Really nice. And within the price range that we want to pay. Looked at the Expeditions, Yukons, Suburbans, and a few others. $63K for Burb, 59 for Expedition, 68 for Yukon, and 55 for the Armada. -15% for...

    Blew Rear Diff

Everything on these is easy as they are built to be field stripped. The EVN diff was just hard to get to break loose so we could drop the housing. It had ahold of the gears pretty well. And it hasn't been opened for a very long time.

    Blew Rear Diff

Well, I did post pics after we had it ripped apart. Mark went out late the other night to put the diff back together while we were waiting on the new axle. It's only 5 bolts to pull it out and replace. Nothing fancy. Sorry.

    TMC Jinxed Me

I did see that. I have never purchased anything from them before so I wasn't too sure about it. Also, they have a run of serial numbers were a few adjustments had to be made in order for it to fit correctly to the engine. I'll give them a call later and see which one it is.

Yep they do. I've priced about 4 different suppliers and all are about the same price.

    TMC Jinxed Me

Common problem the 03-04 of certain #s, but with mine it was redesigned and built into the timing cover, so if one goes, you have to buy the whole kit and caboodle. If it would have been the other design, I'd likely be buying an engine instead.

    TMC Jinxed Me

 Just playing. But, after my last thread about buying an American vehicle for the room, my Disco just destroyed it's oil pump. Just looked them up and called around to a few different suppliers and it's going to run us about $1000 and they are on back order.:ohnoes: So, the big girl is...

    Husband Wants To Buy

Mark found one that was the diesel, but it had over 100k on it and the interior was disgusting. And it didn't have any type of warranty on it. So we passed. I think we are going to go look around this week or so. There a just some really small dealerships on island so it's about 40 miles to...
