Just playing. But, after my last thread about buying an American vehicle for the room, my Disco just destroyed it's oil pump. Just looked them up and called around to a few different suppliers and it's going to run us about $1000 and they are on back order. So, the big girl is down and not safe for flight for about 3 weeks. Guess I'll save money on gas for a bit.

Common problem the 03-04 of certain #s, but with mine it was redesigned and built into the timing cover, so if one goes, you have to buy the whole kit and caboodle. If it would have been the other design, I'd likely be buying an engine instead.

The newer Rovers cough up very expensive parts and they do it regularly. I've seen a bazillion dead ones at auction where dealers were hoping to get some of their money back.

Yep they do. I've priced about 4 different suppliers and all are about the same price.
