Well my brother rear ended a lady several years ago. It bent the bumper brackets and messed up the ""filler" piece. It's been that way for a while.
Every time I got to a parts yard I look for them plus what I went there for. They are either bent to shit or missing every time. Can get new ones...
Ok well I kind of figured with my first trip down a dirt road....ya know.
Just wasn't sure if I should pick them out with a tooth pick or not lol.

Ok just got home
Tested catch it works fine.
I took some measurements and it appears i Have the space for a bracket out of some aluminum angle. Also I plan on moving the cooler to the driver side.
What sizes of aluminum angle do they have at home depot/lowes?

And no I never have since I've had the truck since I've never had a heating issue. My dad checked it for me using an old piece of garden hose. It worked fine which was about 4 years ago.
Even thought I dont think that is the problem is ther any other way to. Check it?

Mounting in the center is not an option because of the center support. Also the ac issue is the same at idle as it is at speed. I might try and fable something up using the bolt holes for the cond. and core support but on the drivers side instead.
It that don't work it will have to got behind...
Here is how mine is currently. Only thing missing from the pic is the core support in the middle which I had to notch out. I just dunno where I bold in a bracket.

Fan clutch should be fine as I have no overheating issues. Plus all was well before the install.
The cooler is mounted with the pads supplied in the kit against the cond. I read somewhere that if you mount it away from the cond. at low speeds air will take the path of least resistance around...
Ok well I got the trans temp gauge installed drove it for a day in the heat then put the cooler on Friday night and drove it yesterday.
Trans temps look great how ever the ac is suffering. I understand it would be effected a little bit but I when it's 95 and your wife and kid are in the car...
Hell I'm getting up to 217 with hills going 45 with no trailer nothing but me in the truck with ac on.
I used my dads snap on solus to monitor it.

Ok I think I'll leave the one on the X and get the Hayden. I ordered a trans temp guage and a piller from summit yesterday. Should be here pm mañana. I'm putting it in the test port, it'll be interesting to see the before and after.
Thanks for the input guys!

Well $70 is my budget. But if I can do the same thing for cheaper that would be better.
Also I've read that the design of the stock one that's on the X already and the one that you posted is a better design than the auxiliary cooler I have already.
I'm just trying to weigh my options and...
Well that particular one is kind of out of my price range. If I buy one it would have to be in the $70 and below range.
Would the aux one I have be ok? Or would it be a waste of time?

I flushed the trans in our xterra a couple years ago and installed an aux trans cooler at the time. I have since learned that it dosnet really need it since the factory cooler is over sized anyway. It's the same cooler they use one the tundra.
We deal with Texas heat so I didn't see a problem...
