Compare this old shot with the above. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give stock halogens a 6 or 7, plug-n-play HID kits a 3, and retrofitted lights a 12.

33x12.5R20. As for type and money---no particular preference. I'd feel that another M/T would go best with my truck's looks, but I'm up for anything. I will look into any and all suggestions.

Progress Update: - Sealing lights in about 2 minutes - Lights aimed and leveled to the best of my ability at the moment. Will make final small adjustments tomorrow morning.... More teaser shots. The cutoff blows my mind. Projectors, low beams, high beams. Hell you can tell a major...

Thanks, T, I'll keep those on the list. :D They did wear very evenly. My mechanic kept dropping them to 35 psi but I always went and re-filled them. I found that 45 was perfect for me, and they seemed to wear the best. As far as mileage, that's a good question. I know when I got them...

For some new tires. Shoot me some recommendations---I'm just in the research phases now. Here's how they used to look (Darren's pic): Here's how mine look now:

Yeah I was surprised. Used to getting up at 6 for work.....so it was habit. We paced ourselves well. I can handle my alcohol much better than I could as a freshman. Progress Update: - Clear lens reinstalled over painted section of headlight - HID kit installed and ready to go -...

I agree---the trend points the other way. My cousin is about my age....a little older....completely religious family on her side. When a few buddies and I took our road trip around FL she showed us a great time. They always let loose at college. Didn't mean to make the guy sound like a...

Yessir. Our buddy is a good guy--very religious so it wasn't anything crazy. This was actually round 2. His brother threw the first. This one our goal was to get him to drink more than he ever has---and he did. When he rolled up he said "I've never puked from drinking, and plan to keep...

Mmmmmm just had our buddy's bachelor party. Will be going to sleep in about 30, so I'll get to work on this when I wake up. I'd guess around 3 or 4 pm.

Progress Update: - Painted clear corners black. Tried Niteshades but it was an old can and did not apply evenly. - Got projectors lined up and bolted in place - Cut shrouds to length - Checked the fit---everything went in great - Painted reflector bowl Will install HIDs, aim them, and...

That's what I'm leaning towards. Niteshades at a minimum. Doin' it!

Yep brand new from eBay. They are knock-offs, but are just as good (if not better) that my own stock headlights. Since they are knock-offs the interior was held together with Philips screws as opposed to Torx. Win! :D Also have clear reflectors, which I may or may not paint. Haven't...

The headlights were easier to take apart since this is the 2nd time I've done it....but they were still a b!tch.

Progress so far: -Headlights separated and main part painted -Main hole cut for projector Need to widen the hole a bit more, but I'm done for tonight. Will try to knock out most of what's left tomorrow. FYI I left the small reflectors chrome.....that's just masking tape over them. Will...

If it's any comparison I'm getting an average of 15 on highway driving (~65-70mph). Probably average 13.5 city. Then again the 20s are harder to turn, so I'd guess we'd be close on mileage. Truck looks awesome! Dan did a great job with the signature, too.

I'll agree with that. It's not only the glare, but the fact that most of the bulbs are white. I used to run HIDs in stock housings, but after realizing how nuts they were I promised myself not to run them again until I do a proper retrofit. While it's still not legal, it's a much better way...

    Matt's '07 Retrofit Build Thread

No I'm doing this to avoid being one of THOSE guys. Too many Ford guys run cheap Chinese HIDs in stock housings. Since our housings are bowl-shaped, they shoot out a lot of glare. Hence the whole reason for a retrofit---to avoid the glare. It's expensive but the only way to run HIDs in our...
