Yeah that's what I'm thinking, too. It reminds me of a cross between a Hummer and older body style trucks. It could have a very unique look to it with some modding.

I sound like a broken record...but that front end just kills it for me. It is too big to blend well with the rest of the truck. Looks 10x better lifted. The new ones aren't bad looking. That front end is just too blocky. Different design there and it would be my favorite, even over the older...

Exactly why I have an 07. One of my favorite body styles on the road today, simply because it doesn't have to be lifted or modded to look nice.

If only they would make that dang front end more stylish. Heck they might even pick up a few mpg. :lol:

You could try some Plast-X. It's available at Wal-Mart and a lot of people use it as protection on their plastics (heads/tails/etc).

Very nice job, Ed. Glad to see it worked out for you. Yeah if it doesn't last just throw some clear on there. That's usually the issue with the cloudiness coming back....is the lack of protectant.

And you timed it right as someone was trying to break in, scaring them into thinking someone was in the truck. They run away and you're saved.

Yeah that's because it's water based. I don't wipe mine off, though. I soak the tires and wheels together and just let it sit. It gives it a nice shine and lasts through a few rains, which is about what most OTC tire shines provide. Try not wiping it off and see if it lasts longer. It does...

I switched to Wagner Thermoquiets to eliminate 95% of all the brake dust. Now I just wash them with a dedicated mitt. After the truck's dry I hose both them and the tires down with HD.

I'm pretty sure you can run 9005s. A lot of guys with the rectangular fogs run them without melting. Us round fog guys aren't so lucky. The reason to run 9005s over 9145s is because the 9005s are a high beam bulb, so they will produce more light.
