Starter is working like it should .. Installed the heat shield after welding a broken mounting tab back on .. Got the radiator done and installed .. Took the pressure to 15 psi, no leaks .. Had to do some welding to make the support braces longer due to the ill fit of the aftermarket...

Back to like new ... Did get a new solenoid ... Mostly just for the old one has a lot of years of service on it ... Thought it would be best to start off fresh .. New bushes are in the soup too ..

When I bought the overdrive transmission out of a 2000 Chevy 3/4 ton Van, the stick was in the deal .. The TH 400 that was in my truck also had a Van dipstick .. Made it super easy to check and fill without the need to climb on the truck .. Oil fill and dipstick are also from a Van ..

Welding is done and over .. Making up a union for the top hose .. Might leave the bend in it or cut the bend out and weld the two pieces together ?? Still in the think tank on that ! Going to get the rad. mounted in the truck and take a look at how the bend flows to the thermostat...
