Yeah man I hear ya. Money's been tight this way, too. I can't remember the last time I bought something for the truck. Yeah double-din is the large radio size and single din is essentially half, with the small pocket below like you mentioned. The GPS was pretty simple. It has a little receiver about the size of a box of matches with a small magnetic plate that it sticks to. You mount the place somewhere, run the wire, and stick the receiver on it. I put mine in the far corner behind my Gryphon. The GPS on the unit is amazing, though.

Yeah big man no problem. The Z110BT is definitely worth the money if you're willing to spend it. The big plus is if you hang onto your OEM radio. If/when you trade in the truck, you can bring the Z110BT along with you as long as the new vehicle has a double-din spot. That way you don't lose anything on it.

Travis is sometimes hard to get a hold of, but keep at him. He told me his normal day once and it was insane, especially for a family man. He gets up around 6...gets ready to go to work and does installs for dealerships. After those are done for the day he starts doing individual/custom installs for people and isn't done till evening. After that he goes home and pre-wires/answers emails past midnight. He's worth it, though.

This CA-671 is what I have. It's right at $300 with the pre-wiring.

The one I have is the one I'd recommend if you're willing to go up to $1000. By far one of the best head units out now...Pioneer calls it their "flagship" model. It's technically the older model to the Z120BT, but it's still only a year or so old. It's super BA and I love everything about it--worth every penny. It's no more difficult to install than a cheaper head unit. There is a little trick to getting the GPS to work while driving, but I can help you with that if need be.



Remote start should be fine regardless of what you choose as long as it's a common brand (Viper, Code Alarm, etc). I have Code Alarm's CA-671. I really recommend Travis at KCAutoSound. His pre-wiring and custom F150 instructions make it easy for someone who has never done anything as in-depth as that. It took me a few hours on a rainy Saturday....and he was available for call to help me out when I ran into a snag.

I like some of the new 09+ I really like the FX4s, I don't like the rear platnium plate on the tailgate personally I do like the grill though, harley heads and tails and it would look nice!

I really like the low rumble of yours and Matt's and love the accelerating tone of them too. I really want a set of those now! How bad is your cab drone? Around 45-60mph? or highway speeds 70+?

That is my only concern at this point. I'm not too concerned about them being loud anymore God I love the sound of those things
