  • no problem:thumbs:, I still haven't deiced witch way to go with my truck. They just look so good in so many different ways.
I wouldn't say its less desirable I just wish I got 5k in the heads since I went with 55w I still think 55w would match good with my 35w fogs

Look at Mblouir's pictures he has 55k in both. I just like a real pure white color over a hint of blue. The hint of blue is only noticeable really far from the truck. Its really hardly there though
I wish I got 5k in both b/c I like the look of very pure white. Which mine are after the fully heat up. But I still think that 5k in a 55w would look a little better. From what I understand the lights will get a bluish tint to them eventually no matter what. So I think 5k would have been the better headlight choice. I love the look of my fogs but try not to use them until i'm on a dark road. With out the caps over the bulbs like the headlights it is just pure blinding light to oncoming traffic
Yeah I hear ya. Yes if you use tar remover and clay definitely wax the area afterwards. Let me know how it works out, as I've never used anything like it. Only seen reviews.
Don't know about guru, but I've done a lot of research. Yeah I've heard great things about #82. Pretty much it's what everyone used before 105/205 came out, so it's a great product. Give it a shot and post a review on here!

Good to hear you might pick up a little side business. Get the word out, man. I'd love to do that for a side job.

For the tar, there are two things I've seen good reviews on, so I'd start there before going more aggressive (such as paint thinner). First is Meg's and second is Stoner's....both good companies so I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Yeah your paint is probably why you never noticed it. Black sucks.

That should help out with their numbering system. 2nd List.

Hand spots would be much easier if you used M105, since it's so abrasive. The only issue is when you do it by hand with a small foam pad you risk using uneven pressure. I'd say it's easier to burn through clear by hand with a small pad than with a PC. Like this:

I haven't tried many swirl removal products (still trying to finish my bottle of 105), but so far it's been the 105/205 combo. 205 isn't really a replacement or newer model for 105, it's to finish it off. After using 105 you will likely have micro-marring. If you look in my 2nd detail thread I think I mention it and show a pic. It's like very very small swirl marks. The 205 is used after 105 to get rid of those.

I think if you wanted to use just one product, I think 205 by itself would do great. It would definitely take a little more work than using 105, but you wouldn't have to worry about following up with a finisher. I believe it has a 4/10 cut on the abrasiveness scale, as compared to 105s 10/10.

I couldn't imagine applying it by hand. Can't comment on it, either, because I'm never going to try. :p
