What Did You Do To Your Truck Today? v2.0

No Jeff, I was alone on my truck and the lady I hit was alone. She said she wasn't hurt and it honestly felt like I barely bumped her. My back was definitely hurting worse, but that was about the extent of my injury. I ended up having to get the transmission fixed a few weeks after the wreck. I...

What Did You Do To Your Truck Today? v2.0

Small update:. Well I have not been on here in quite a while, so those who are not friends with me on social media might not know that my truck was recently involved in an accident. It was just a few months ago, and I still have not had it fully repaired. I replaced the busted transmission...

What Did You Do To Your Truck Today? v2.0

Well if you used some GOOD Iridium plugs then you will not have to do it again for another 100k miles. Plugs are not exactly considered a maintenance item like they used to be. That's why car manufacturers don't care about making them easy to get to. If they will only need to be...

What Did You Do To Your Truck Today? v2.0

That's why so many cars use Iridium plugs these days. The plugs are SO difficult to get to, that they use the 100k mile Iridium plugs so you won't have to replace them often. The average person should get at least 5-7 years out a set.

What Did You Do To Your Truck Today? v2.0

The back passenger side plug on my 01 Suburban is by far the most difficult. I have a 1 inch extension that makes it the perfect legnth to get right in there and makes it a LOT easier. I've helped a few friends change theirs on Silverados and it was actually easier. I finally realized that my...

    Truck's in the shop

Damn Corey that sucks. Who put the leveling kit on? If it was a shop, I would at least blast them on the internet. I know that you can't get them to take responsibility after 2 years, but you can at least give them a negative review on Google or Yelp or something.

Best Way To Change Fuel Pump 2000 Silverado

Mine went out this summer. Since I can't remove the bed on a Suburban, I had no choice but to drop the 30 gallon tank which happened to still be about half full. I ended up tilting it down so I could drain as much of the gas as possible into a bucket. I then had my 16 year old son help me lower...

Dash Wiring Harness - Project Feasibility

I can tell you for SURE that the wiring was indeed changed in 2003. So a 99-02 harness will NOT work in a 2004. A 2003-2006 harness should work fine though. And the lower courtesy lights stopped in 02, the 2003's did not have them. But it's a very simple upgrade to just add some lights and...

What Did You Do To Your Truck Today? v2.0

Oh, and I almost forgot, I replaced all my front brakes this last weekend. I used Powerstop black zinc plated rotors, the Powerstop red powder coated calipers and brackets, and Wagner Thermoquiet Ceramic pads. I used 2007+ brakes which are a little over an inch bigger than my stock sized rotors...

What Did You Do To Your Truck Today? v2.0

Shopping for a new battery for it. The Autocraft Gold Battery that's in it now is over 5 years old, so I guess that it's about time. I'm considering a AGM "Duracell" battery from Sam's club. It's actually one of the cheapest batteries I've found and come to find out, it's made by DEKA/East Penn...

Need some help with a 1990 Cadillac

I remember my brother had a 1990 Sedan DeVille. It didn't have VATS though. :dunno: I'm not sure if that was an option or not, or exactly what year they started if it WAS standard. But I do remember that he had a similar problem with his ignition switch, it would start to stick sometimes so he...
