Well if you used some GOOD Iridium plugs then you will not have to do it again for another 100k miles. 
Plugs are not exactly considered a maintenance item like they used to be. That's why car manufacturers don't care about making them easy to get to. If they will only need to be replaced once or twice during the life of the car, then there's no point in making them easily accessible. (That's THEIR thinking anyways..)
