Got a update. Wife got home and i had her rev it up and hold it at that 4000rpm. I got under the car and put my hands up to the exhaust pipe outlet. The popping is from the passenger side. So now im going to check that side out closer.

I think it is number 6. I took the pasenger side plugs off one at a time. It keeps popping on all of them but number 6. I tried looking at that plug wire an it is not burnt or anything. I went ahead an tried switching the wires around to one of the other cyclinders. Same results popping. When i had the plugs off early today i did'nt notice them broke or cracked or anything. I was careful putting them back on two. My next thing is to pull that plug an check it again and if all is well i will switch it with one on the other side an see what happens. Hopefully the plug is just broke or something.

Before switching the plug to the other side i checked an made sure it was getting spark and it was. I went ahead anyways an switched it with one on the other side. Had wife rev it up alittle an hold it there and guess what...Now the popping is on the driver side. Heading to the parts store to get a new one. I don't get it though. It is getting spark through it. I must fried something in that plug yet it still has spark? Well off to the store...

Did you drop the plug at some point? If so the insulator can crack and cause this problem....it starts going to ground early and the spark gets weak and it starts detonating in the cylinder, sorta like run on if you have experienced that.

My advise is to always replace a after dropping one.

I had replaced the alt. and did'nt take the cable off the battery. It arked i guess. I fried the coil. I replaced it and the moduler. I don't know guess it fried that plug? I had checked everything upteen times. Replaced plug wires an everthing else i could do. I was like it was running fine before... Thought what the @#$! am i missing. Then i wanted to pin point which side it was or if it was from both sides. Reved car up to where it popped an got under car put my hands up to exhaust outlet and firgured it to be on the passenger side somewhere...I'm going to replace all the plugs(gap from 35 to 40 thou) an get a super coil. Get some moly tights on the rockers and readjust the valves to 3/4. Clean up the engine area shut the hood an forget about it. Next is a small tranny leak from the kickdown cable.
