If it is popping back thru the carb... it is firing when the intake valve is still partially open.

it is really easy to cross wire a couple of cylinders..especially cylinders 1 and 2...and 6 and 5...
And since they fire one after the other... I would check them real close.

im sure i did that right the first time-it was runing fine when i had the exhaust done?

When you said before you got the exhaust done does that mean you were running it with no exhaust? The reson im asking is cause i had the 64 running great with no exhaust on it( just exhaust manafolds) then after i had the exhaust on it it acted all differant. its amazing what back pressure will do. Ill bet anything its your carb.

What kind a card are you running? Quadrajet? Edelbrock? holley? :dunno:

my plug wires have that bracket thing holding them in place-maybe it is causing a magnetic feild? i did check it at night an did notice sparking out boot by plug-i at that time checked the plugs found two burnt-i replaced them an had put protective heat resist covers on them-only thing i can think of is maybe that thing that holds the plugs in nice an neat is making a magntic feild and making plugs firing when they not suppose to?

omfg lowercase lack of punctuation advance timing thread so hard to read cant believe anyone actually communicates this way with other people srsly wtf how hard is it to hit shift key and period once in a while i know it takes an extra nanosecond to accomplish the difficult tasks like hitting return for a new line of hitting shift to highlight the beginning of sentences but holy **** wtf this is actually harder to type like this than to type like normal i want to move this entire thread to the fail thread but not sure I can shove a thread in a thread but if i could omg omfg i would in a heartbeat holy crap please take two seconds and try to help make your requests easier to read for the rest of us sure we can stumble through the way it is but that sucks and is not very helpful for others coming to our site from search engines and the like so please for christ's sake stop typing like a one-fingered chimp on adderall thanks bye
