I think Dave missed his calling. He should have been an engineer !!! NOT !!!


You really need to think that through Dave. That set up you have drawn up might work for carrying a few sticks of PVC pipe, but that design you have there is barely good enough to support the weight of the rack itself.

The real question is what did you design that in. AutoCAD or SolidWorks?

So you failed engineering 101, along with a few other things.... But, nonetheless...
I had a few minutes between tows tonight, and I got this done for you. Hopefully you can find 4 sticks of iron, or 2 sticks that can be cut to your needed sizes to get 4 sticks, and someone who can weld. For what's it worth, since you're obviously not seeing the light here, this design here will accomplish 20x the strength over your gusset design there. Give it a try and add these pieces in Orange to existing pieces shown in black. That ought to save a few lives if nothing else.
