Took the 88 for a rip, and drove the 2010 around town a bit. fWONk I am anxious to get the 88 road ready! Just need the time!

Washed it and realized how fucked up my paint really is. I REALLY need a new paint job, but I bet a good machine polish/paint correction would fix 75% of the scuffs and scratches.

Looks good in the pics. You'd be surprised how much a good buffing and polishing would improve the paint.

Yeah that pic makes it look really good. But what the camera did not pic up was all the swirls and scratches that the sun was bringing attention to. I also have a small dent right behind the rear passenger wheel in between the wheel well and the bumper. Plus the big ass dent my wife put in the bottom corner of the drivers door by backing up my truck with the door open. Michael saw that one, he can tell you how bad it looks. He said "What did you do yo your door right there on the bottom? "
But I agree Jim. I bet a good polishing would help a lot. In the 6+ years of owning this truck I have only even waxed it once.
Try waxing a Suburban by hand and you wouldn't want to do it again either.

Luckily wifey takes hers to the local car wash.Watching a guy dry it off,clean the windows and tires & wheels can be a long wait...she always tips 'em $10.00 because it's so big.
