Just be glad you don't have to fill up 15 trucks and 12 pumps every day. 8000 gallons goes by quick.

Hell, be really glad we don't use diesel to frac anymore. Then it'd be really expensive.

The Gulf CEO said part of the rising price is switching back to "MORE EXPENSIVE" "SUMMER GRADE" gasoline....

Every fall they say part of the rising price is switching to "MORE EXPENSIVE," "WINTER GRADE" gasoline...

Which is it ????? :dunno:

Both.

Same thing with diesel. In the summer they say the price is high because they're not producing as much fuel oil as in the winter, because demand for heating oil is low. In the winter they say the price is high because most of the production is going to heating oil. Theoretically, right now diesel in my area should be a lot cheaper than it is, due to the mild winter we've had and the lower demand for heating oil. Reserves should be very high, driving the price down. Is it? Nope!

Yeah... I kinda keep up with diesel prices...
One of my Brothers is a long distance truck driver...
He has two tanks... 120 gallons each...
His truck gets around 5MPG...
It gets a little expensive to put a couple of hundred gallons in it at almost 4 bucks a gallon for diesel...:ohnoes:
It is not unusual at all to use 150 gallons a day...

Mine has twin 20's, and gets about 11.5, so I have a very slight inkling of the pain he must feel at the pumps.

The most I've ever paid for diesel was the day I bought the truck in '08. I flew down to Ft. Lauderdale to pick it up on July 29th, just when diesel prices there hit $5.25 a gallon. More than $200 to fill it from a 1/4 tank. The guy I bought it from felt so bad he gave me back $400 cash so I could afford to drive it home.

Yeah I heard that...

My dad was going over our fuel expenses from May-December(2011) and was dismayed that it was like 15k...

He expressed that he wanted my to get that lower for 2012 and I was like I expect it to be double if not more than double this year.
