Here is my How To on Detailing the Engine Bay
Products Used:
All Purpose Cleaner
SVRT
Adam's In & Out Spray
SVRT Block Applicators (Cut in half)
SVRT Hex-Grip Pro Tire Dressing Applicator
Open up the hood and see what you're up against. I did this a few months ago so it wasn't too bad just mainly road dust
Start by using a light stream of water, easiest way to adjust is by pinching the hose and adjusting the pressure by feel
** You can see what SVRT does for you it beaded the water still after roughly 4 months under the hood
**
Let it soak for a second
Spray down the engine bay with some APC
I used a small wheel brush from Mother's to clean the dirt off. It has super soft bristels that won't harm anything. Always be careful around connections and wires with it though
Then Rinse again.
Shut your hood and crank the truck for roughly 10mins or so. I vacuumed the interior while I waited.
Open up the hood then Get to drying. I use an old Mequiars drying towel. Same towel I use to dry my wheels
Get as much as you can with the Towel than get out your air hose and spray out the water in all the nooks & crannies
Apply some SVRT on to your detailing sponge and go to town on all the plastics and hoses
For all the areas you cannot get your hands to or for all the small spots and little areas use the ADAM's In & Out Spray
Now stand back and enjoy your hardwork
