I have also seen some Blazers that had the rear stabilizer bar removed  to allow the fitting of CNG tanks in the original spot of the spare tyre.

But it was more likely that you would have died in the neon...
Possibly but I never wrecked either one, or any other vehicle Ive owned.

The Neon never left me stranded like that stupid Blazer did when the motor blew and then a month later the tranny started slipping and blowing fluid and then the heater core blew when I was looking for a new car. Traded it in on a new '05 Hyundai Elantra. Seemed like the Blazer was always needing something and repairs were worse than the $260 car payment on the Elantra.

The Neon handled awesome and the Blazer handled like an overloaded dumptruck.

The only blazer I ever owned it was only for a week... Put a battery in it and sold it for $600 more than I paid for it...

Though for me I would still pick the Blazer over the Neon if those were my only options since the Neon was labeled a death trap just like my cavalier... The blazer was not. Some had issues with them and a lot of people did not... Dale Earnhardt loved his early 90's model blazer... :p

Mine was just a POS. It was a '96 with the junk 4.3.

That was actually a awesome engine!

We had a astro van in the family 2wd with the 4.3 with 330k miles on it with no major repairs... What killed it was the 6th or 7th deer it killed...

to me the tbi 4.3 was the good one and the sfi one was junk. It was actually somewhat hard to find a motor locally because most had spun bearings like mine.

The one I ended up with burned oil.

My motor was junk at 123k.
