My truck is being stored outside in the driveway all winter with the chrome rims.

Aren't those chrome cladding though? Plastic with chrome on it seems to last longer than chrome on steel or aluminum.

I store mine for winter and all i usually do is give it a good cleaning, check the fluids and stuff and park her. The garage is opened daily, but it hasnt bothered anything. I just go out and start it every week or two. Only real thing i have to worry about is scratching it walking around it to the tool boxes, or taking the side of it out with the four wheeler.

If the truck is stored in a garage, why pull the wheels? :dunno:
Cause it will be in the same garage as all the salt infested vehicles. :fume:

I wish they'd go back to sand...

If you want it to smell good come spring throw dryer sheets in it.:jester:
But seriously, we throw them in our boat because they detract mice. It smells like it just came out of the dryer when spring rolls around.

But sand doesn't melt anything. (I know salt doesn't technically melt ice either, but it does lower the freezing point)

So, that's how your truck does so well for you in the winter! You store it and don't do anything with it!
