Here's what I do....

-place tarp on ground
-run Sta-Bil and make sure it gets to the engine, not just the tank
-treat the entire tank with Sta-Bil
-fill the tank up (leaving a little room for expansion in the spring)
-change oil
-remove battery (put it on a maintainer once in a while, but not all the time)
-cover (obviously, I wash it right before storing it)

This is done in a garage with a concrete floor.

I don't worry about jack stands. I didn't last year and didn't have any problems at all with flat spots or vibrations going down the road.

And I would totally pull the wheels since you're in a garge that is being used by other winter vehicles (mine is all alone with my motorcycle; no other vehicles).

My cover is nothing fancy. I think I paid $30 for it at Menards last year. It does the job, but definitely isn't intended for outside use.

Just park that bitch and take the keys out. I have parked my GM trucks on the docks for 4 to 5 months at a time. Come back stick the key in and away we go. No prep or anything, just let her sit.

So, stick a battery tender on it.

I think this is being WAY over thought.

Over thinking it would be fogging the engine....which I'd do if I could figure out how to. We fog our boat (305 4 barrel), but that's done dumping the fogging oil straight into the carb.

Pfft you pansy asses don't get the heat we get. Has you truck gotten so cold that the plastic interior parts have oozed into different shapes. I think not, maybe they have gotten so cold that they become brittle. But unless you touch them they are fine. We have just as much of an extreme climate down here as you guys do up there.

But for too many years people have been playing on others fears, this causes you to do things that are just plain unnecessary.:jester:

I didn't even know that was possible! I have however found out that taking apart an interior is a VERY bad idea in December/January. That didn't go so well.

Must be paradise living up in the great white North. :jester:

Actually the Great White North is salt free. Ghetto fabulous northern MN has to use salt cuz they skeered
Hmmm....the Great White North is sounding better.....

The plastic pieces in my visors that slide out and block the sun. Have gotten so hot that they actually melted and ran down onto the dash. No shit.
