Believe me Nick the thought did cross my mind. I figure when the 4 post isn't in service it will be utilized to store my lawnmower/ Kawasaki Mule. Should free up some floor space as well as being a good lift.

If its not ANSI approved I wouldn't buy it.
It's new so I don't see you buying it anyway. But I'll keep that in mind.

BendPak lifts are supplied with installation instructions and concrete fasteners meeting the criteria as prescribed by the American National Standard "Automotive Lifts - Safety Requirements for Construction, Testing, and Validation" ANSI/ALI ALCTV-2006. Lift buyers are responsible for any special regional structural and/or seismic anchoring requirements specified by any other agencies and/or codes such as the Uniform Building Code (UBC) and/or International Building Code (IBC).

There's lots of lifts accidents happening cause people buy those cheap japan, china made that dont have the ANSI approved. Rockauto newsletter had a write up where someone left a convertible on the lift in the air and one of the safety locks gave out and nose of the car was laying on the shop floor the next morning.

Nick, how hard is it to get the truck balanced on that thing?

Mark, it isn't hard at all. I just make sure that the front lift points are as far front on the frame toward the engine as I can get and then put the rear lift points as far back as I can get them. Never had an issue. I was able to lift a 2004 suburban but not very much. Just enough to lift the wheels off the ground to rotate the tires. LOL

A guy I worked with had one. It was great. It really makes the most of the space. He was able to keep both his 55 Chevy's in one bay and leave another open for working on other stuff. Just remember to keep stuff that you don't mind having some oil drip or dirt settling on them on the bottom.
