I got a guesstimate today on a cat-back system for my 1992 5.0
Both options are 3" Flowmaster
1) Flowmaster back to pre-axle, side dump ($240 or so)
2) Flowmaster back to duals, post axle either sides or back ($400)

How much louder are duals, and are they worth the extra money? They wont be 'true duals', because I have to keep my collector pipe and all that with the kitty cats on it.
I like the look of them [duals], and the sound (if what I'm hearing on my buddy's 2008 Silverado isn't lying to me)

Currently I have a Magnaflow that dumps one foot after the muffler, no tailpipe per-se. It has a bassy tone to it, but its just not loud enough :dunno:

I had an 88 F150 with 3" single exhaust that dumped out the side in front of the rear wheel. I put on a high flow cat and the muffler I used was called the Warlock, can't remember who made it. But I would cruise thru parking lots and it would set off alarms...............
