Pulling it wont be that bad. I had to pull one when I worked in a junkyard. We unhooked everything cut the frame rails and picked the body up with a loader. The engine was left sitting there in the frame rails. Some have subframes to which are even easier.

My buddy had a '72 Winne with the 440/cast iron 727. One of the coolest motorhomes ever. He completely upfitted it with modern interior and appliances, and went with 22 inch HD wheels and hubs, disk brakes, etc.

The bad part...it got 4 MPG. We took it to Canada on a fishing trip in '98 and calculated the mileage. Luckily, it had a 100 galon tank.

Pictures?

I was thinking earlier they can just pick it up with the loader they have and cut the engine out.

Anyway, if I would get one of those Dodge motorhomes the 1st thing I would consider is a diesel engine swap...

Actaully, it is a good swap into anything. If I was keeping this motorhome that is what I would do.

I was thinking about taking an old ATV frame and dropping a small 3 cylinder oil burner in it.

There is a diesel ATV from Arctic Cat, but this one is fitted with a 2-banger. In an ATV the weight of the engine is a bigger issue than in the Dodge motorhome :jester:
