I've had both, the 383 Magnum, and a 440 police interceptor. The 383 was in a '68 Plymouth Roadrunner, and the 440 was in a '69 Dodge Coronet. Those were both great engines.

You definitely have a guardian angel Jeff!:halo:

 Don't you wish you still had those cars.

Yes I do. You're correct about the guardian angel. I was 18 when I had the Roadrunner, and 20 when I had the Coronet. Both of those cars would shit and get.

My buddy had a '72 Winne with the 440/cast iron 727. One of the coolest motorhomes ever. He completely upfitted it with modern interior and appliances, and went with 22 inch HD wheels and hubs, disk brakes, etc.

The bad part...it got 4 MPG. We took it to Canada on a fishing trip in '98 and calculated the mileage. Luckily, it had a 100 galon tank.

I laughed the first time i saw an engine pulled from a motorhome. But then i realized that's probably not a bad way. all the material between the motor and windsheild was cut away, including the windsheild. better be a good engine man haha

I played the Dukes of Hazzard with the Coronet. We went airborne over this bridge on an old country road. Came down hard, and shoved the right side leaf springs right up through the trunk.
