Thanks for the pointers guys, yeh the insurance isn't going to be real cheap. I'll have to check out state farm. I found a couple CBR 600F4's somewhat close I'm going to look into next week hopefully when I'm done with school.

the 600 F4's arent the best becasue they are carberated. Look for an F4I they arent much more $$ and way better all around bike.
On the other hand, they are cheaper on insurance because they aren't fuel injected. Just depends what you want and how big your wallet is.

the difference between the f4 and f4I would cost for insurance isnt even enough to mention.

Drive both and you'll be amazed at the difference. My buddys 2001 R1 is carb'd and is doggy as hell almost feels like a 600.

Im 24 with no tickets and i've had my Motorcycle license for 6 years not sure if that matters but I paid $400 a year for full collision on my honda vtx 1300(cruiser) with coverage for the $5k worth of accesories. My 06 Kawasaki ZX10R would be just under $500 a year but I just put liability on it for $180 a year and thats for a 1000

It's not heaven . . . it's Iowa!
I'm not a sport bike guy either. Maybe it's because I'm 6'5" but they're just REALLY uncomfortable for me. :dunno:

Tall guys in a sportsbike can look like a circus bear in a bicycle, just not right. Sure, these bikes are pretty uncomfortable, but can be funny as hell...

 That's the EXACT analogy we used when my uncle rode my Kawasaki 175 I got when I was a teenager. He is a big guy and it looked hilarious. :rollin:

Dang my insurance must suck. I have had my motorcycle license for awhile also and I have never been pulled over. Maybe I need to check some other places.

I would agree here, my f4 was ok, but the f4i blew it away...and it looked better with with rear seat being separate, that always bugged me on mine and the earlier fireblades...

check with state farm bro.....they are the cheapest I could find, progressive wanted $1200 for collision on the 10. I have no idea how different companies can be so far apart price wise.

Hmm, that is pretty nice. Am I right in assuming not a whole lot changed on them from like that 01 to say an 06 or 07. I still haven't had a chance to do all of the model specific research yet.

Here's another I was looking at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005...9?pt=US_motorcycles&hash=item2c5cde4665#v4-34

and another: http://www.recycler.com/Details/-36...le&utm_medium=outboundfeed&utm_campaign=of-oo

I hope to get something going next week now that schools done, I need to do some checking on insurance too.

Thanks again for all the input.
