Two years ago, when I came thru that part of the country, I didn't know that about not pumping your own gas.
I stopped at a station, got out, ran my credit card and started pumping gas.
Just like I do everywhere else...
It was over half full before the punk got out to the pump and proceeded to start bitching at me for pumping my own gas...
I told him I didn't know about not pumping it myself,,,, but he just kept on and on and on...
I then told him that if he had got up off his lazy ass and came out and did his job... when I drove in... we wouldn't be having this conversation.
He didn't like that...
That happened to me once too. Except this scurvy looking kid came up to me and said he'd take care of it (after I'd already started) and I told him to GTFO. I then looked around and realized what the deal was
I was thinking at first... when he came up to me and said he would pump the gas ... that he was just looking for a TIP from the tourist driving a new Cadillac.
Then he started just raising cain and lecturing me on the law...
That's when I got a little bit ticked off at him...
Haha, Jersey. Once some indian guy went off on me when I started pumping my own gas.
He came over and yelled out "Stand back, stand back!" as he motioned with his arms for me the clear the area, I was wtf is your problem buddy. "You cannot pump your own gas", I'm like ok pal, calm the F down. If you spill gas on my truck I will open up a can of whoopass on you, ok? Proceeded to get even more heated. So I puled the nozzle prematurely out of my truck and was like ok I've had enough, fu bitch. Paid and left. Have never gone back to that station ever again.
The station I go to now has the pumps locked, you cannot pump gas without inserting a special card first. Cheapest gas in town though, $3.69, $3.79 and $3.89 for all three grades.
