How MUCH is gas in your area?

the smith grocery store has a thing that every dollar you spend on food, they give you a point. cash in $0.10 off a gallon. well i guess they multiply that cause i got diesel for $3.34 a gallon. they took $0.70 a gallon off. gave me almost 4 free gallons..

Scott, don't you guys have added expenses, since it is against the law to pump your own gas there? I am just curious if they add it in to the price per gallon or if it comes from somewhere else.

In Oregon you can't pump your own gas, same with New Jersey, I think ??.

The exception is the card lock I use for company trucks, so that is nice.

I hate waiting for them to get to me to put gas in, it blows.

Two years ago, when I came thru that part of the country, I didn't know that about not pumping your own gas.
I stopped at a station, got out, ran my credit card and started pumping gas.
Just like I do everywhere else...

It was over half full before the punk got out to the pump and proceeded to start bitching at me for pumping my own gas...
I told him I didn't know about not pumping it myself,,,, but he just kept on and on and on...
I then told him that if he had got up off his lazy ass and came out and did his job... when I drove in... we wouldn't be having this conversation.

He didn't like that...

I was thinking at first... when he came up to me and said he would pump the gas ... that he was just looking for a TIP from the tourist driving a new Cadillac.
Then he started just raising cain and lecturing me on the law...

I didn't know that Scott, but good to know. I'll probably never be in those states anyways.



Gas was a little weird here today.

$3.83 / $3.88 / $4.03

Usually, we're always $.02 difference between 87 and 89. Since 87 went to $3.87 yesterday, I'm guessing its either going back up tomorrow, or 89 and 91 will be dropping down in a day or two.
