Oh my I might have screamed a little when I seen thepic of the rust from underneath! :ohnoes:
I snapped that pic well after I had decided I wasn't buying it, but I didn't look at it until I got home. And yeah, I did one of these when I saw it: :jaw:

seems like a $1500-2000 truck in that condition.
:werd:
I'm betting the guy paid $2500 tops at the auction. I wouldn't pay more than $3k at the very most for it.

It probably went for $1k or less at auction. Ive been to dealer auctions and old high mileage beaters dont bring much money there.

^^^^^^ Yeah... what Paul said.
I have been to a lot of auctions... you would be SHOCKED at how cheap some of the older vehicles sell for.

I go to auctions all the time. Trucks bring pretty good money in Texas regardless of age (if they are remotely decent) but some older cars go really cheap!

Well, since this is bumped back up.....

I found 2 trucks.
'97 K1500 - emailed them already = heard back; only sent me a phone number; since I first saw the ad, they've added pics....I'm no longer interested

'97 S10 (but its RED! :() - extremely low miles

I'm kinda starting to like the '94-'97 interior better on the S10's. The newer one I test drove made the dash feel so much bigger/closer to you. Yeah, I like the more modern look, but the older style might be the way to go.

And I guess if I really wanted to, I could do a '98-'03 front end swap (grill, lights, bumper, valance, core support), but that's kinda spendy (around $500). The only other option is a '97 S10 Blazer swap (which would only be grill and lights). What do you guys think?

Blazer grill and headlights. (I'd go with a chrome grill)
