No prob. Sorry it wasn't in better shape.
Thanks Carl.

Yeah, it was the perfect optioned truck that I want, but the body and interior said "I don't think so!"

Can anyone help me on this:
The shifter on this truck was DEFINITELY farther back than my current S10's. I thought they used the same trans for all the S10's, or is there a different one for the 4x4 models? That wouldn't make much sense since I would think all they would change is removing the tailshaft and putting shorter driveshafts in the trans itself.

On a good note, I'm still debt free. I'll probably put the truck search on hold (unless I find the perfect S10 again) and focus on some repairs to my truck. I need to order about $325 of front end parts for the Silverado, and I might have just found a 14-bolt too!
Uh what do you need a 14 bolt for?

The future 383.....and thinking about a Whipple (if I can find/afford one) :naughty:

I'd like to rebuild it and put a TruTrac in it.

10 bolt with a TruTrac will hold up to a LOT (plenty of guys in the 11s, and even 10s).

I'm running a stock (open) 10 bolt, with 200k on it, and have absolutely zero issues, or any signs of issues, and we all know how hard I've been running by truck for the last year.

Power is less of an issue on the 10b than larger tires are.

:( You'll find something. Considering that truck is 10 years old, and lives in salt infested winters, it really wasn't to bad of shape. I think he was asking a bit to much for it though.

Glad you didn't buy the rust bucket. My brother has a S-10 with a LS engine it's fun driving it.
Good luck! Roland
