Well if you haven't seen my Yamaha Grizzly you can tell i'm ALL for yamaha. i also have a beartracker, sportsman 500, honda ricon 500, but when it comes down to it the grizzly and beartracker never cause me as much trouble and out perform the others. i will say the sportsman rides best though.

Depending on size. 500-700cc atvs used should run around $2800-$6000 depending on year and mods. 250-450cc atv range from $1800 which id more racing ones to about $4000.. anything older than a 1999 or close to it i'd stay away from just because most older atvs are single shocks in the rear making them very uncomfortable.

those prices are very spread because thats the general range. it highly depends on the condition, year, and the person selling needing money or not because atv's are just a toy we dont have to have them lol.

as for things to be careful of just watch out for the electrical problems due to offroading there are many ground wires that come loose and. and if you test one out make sure it starts good atv's especially my sportsman will eat up a starter.

Good Luck in your search

we've had our can-am outlander max 2up since 2006, the only thing we've had to change on it was a spark plug... solid machine in my opinion, had it buried to the handle bars in peat moss, and they have wicked power. Little longer than your average quad, but you get used to it. They look so much meaner than a polaris =]

I like the Can Am.

Welcome to the site, post up an Intro thread!
