Hunters tend to buy them, put a few hours on them, and trade in for an upgrade. I would look at large dealers to find a good deal on a cheap(er) one.

Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Polaris are all really good brands. I think the Polaris' are a little more sporty.

Relatives have a Honda Foreman 500, they love it. He runs sled dogs with it everyday for somewhere around 7 miles. They also have a plow and he clears their lane with it.

The new Can-am SxS offering looks stout, 1000cc, fastest in class . . .

Polaris Razr FTW! I don't know much about them. My uncle has a Polaris Ranger and it doesn't have power steering...what a bitch. But, my other uncle has one with power steering and they are fun. But the razr would be better suited for what you are wanting. The rangers are more a work vehicle.

I will agree with the others, you would be well set with a rzr, or even a 4 seater rzr. I really like my polaris sportsman 700 it has been very reliable, and has had only minor issues, a few of which were operator induced. I got my 07 in late 07 once the 08's came out and got a great price. I was looking at an 08 Rancher 420, but they had my leftover 700 for the same price, and I couldn't resist the extra power. If you have any polaris related questions, feel free to shoot me a PM, I've did way more research than I care to think about on their components.

Just as a side note, we were at a dealer over the weekend and I saw a 4 seat rzr and man was it sharp, but cost almost 13K:eek:

can-am

we've had our can-am outlander max 2up since 2006, the only thing we've had to change on it was a spark plug... solid machine in my opinion, had it buried to the handle bars in peat moss, and they have wicked power. Little longer than your average quad, but you get used to it. They look so much meaner than a polaris =]

Razr for the WIN, Those things are a lot of fun. Not as much as just a one person ATV but that sounds out of the question for you.
