Handles came in on Feb 7th. Great condition pieces. Off from a 2007 FX4. Since my XLT has keyless entry and a 5 digit button code card in the manual I am expecting it to be plug n play, i'll find out a little later. I may try putting it in for a few weeks until I get my mirror cap situation sorted. ( Plan there is to swap my 1 piece '04 - '05 caps for '06 - '08 2 piece units )

PTM here I come

I think so too!

Well tonight I tried putting the drivers handle in, never took the handles apart but its fairly easy after trying it. I taped off my door to prevent scratching and i'm glad I did! Quite a few hits & bumps to the paint, with no damage :).

Anyways, I got inside the door and seen the harness for the door handle capped off, so I was delighted and saw it being a pure plug n play job. Well it was not. I got it mechanically working, but the keypad is not functioning. Does not light up when I hit a button, and using my code does not unlock it. Bummer. Well the dealership will have to try this one. I was hoping it wouldn't come down to that. The less labor I pay the better. It looks good on there though, un-painted even.

Still no luck on getting the handle activated. I pulled my rear seat out ( what a PITMFA!!! ) and checked to see that I do have the module for the keyless. I do indeed have it, with the entry code labeled on it, but still no juice... There is a 3rd plug in port that is not in use and has no wiring.. at least no where in the visible area. I am wondering if that is it.

I'm afraid this will be for the dealer to figure out. I want to get this operable before I get them painted. And i'm very anxious to get them painted!

3rd un-used port to the far right. Can anyone confirm there needs to be harness connected there to have a keypad handle?

Interesting... If it warms up and I get my back seat out I can let you know on the 3rd plug. Right now its to damn cold.. and The last two times I tried to remove the rear back I couldn't get it. :fume:

I still don't have my rear Wet Okole's done yet :fume:

Well i've confirmed on the other site with others who have done the same swap that the dealership does infact need to program the BSM unit. It has the keyless entry connection 'turned off' and the dealership needs to activate it. So yay, theres a hour of labor I get to pay for a 5 minute job, but it will be worth it.

Leather? How are they in quality? Worth buying?

At least you got it figured out. I'd go ahead and have your back seat and anything else out to make it a quicker job since it's so easy of a fix..

But the Wet Okole's are real nice. I got the fronts with the heated seat option. Still need to hardwire them I though. But they are made of Wet Suit material. So they are 99% waterproof and clean up real easy. Steve (NCSU_ Uh whatever the end) got them done and posted a thread about it on here. That's what turned me onto them. On my phone so I'll post a link of what mine look like later
