Little update. The new handles I bought are in transit on shipping. Could have them by Saturday, IF i'm lucky. If not, well I can wait until Monday.

On the unfortunate side, I have discovered my 2004s mirror skull caps are not removable.. its a 1 piece mirror. Shit. This means either remove the 1 piece caps and find a way to get them painted in 1 day and back on asap, or take the mirrors off and do them myself ( would rather not for durability reasoning ) or try getting newer mirrors, even though there is rumor the 2006+ mirrors ( which are all the supposedly 2 piece mirror caps ) are wired different and the connectors will not mate up. Frick! Thanks Ford. Why make a mirror look like it has removable caps while its a solid piece..

Don't do the pillars I think that everything else you are spot on though. Black tips FTW. Mine are brown now from all the mud though

Yeah I gotta agree with Jeff... The PTM pillars don't look bad, but just not sure how much I like them..

I wish I had the glossy B-Pillars

I wasn't planning to, 1low thought it would be cool to see PS'd. Not into it for my truck. I Actually think the GMT900s look better with their sills gloss black too.

You can change to the '04 / Platinum sills but its a real pita according to IDNC76.

Yeah, I remember reading the "How-To" on F150Online. Part of the reason why I wish mine had them already

Yeah I know what you mean... I did mine myself I believe last summer. They looked great for about 8-10 months, but have now started to show signs that I need to repaint... or get them redone.

In case you missed it, there was a How-To on doing your mirrors

How-To: Paint To Match (PTM) Mirror Caps on 04-08 F150

Isn't that illegal? Could I possibly get away with it if I absolutely had to?

Would probably depend on how the cops are in your area... how far you drive every day.. and what types of roads.. Interstate vs county roads vs highways

Of coarse I have seen that, there isn't an article on there I haven't seen . Pics would be slightly helpful but I understand the process. I would just rather have them baked OEM style so I don't have to worry about winter and gsummer heat taking its effect.

Haha.. I figured you had..

But yeah, I wish I would have gotten mine done by a painter. Or at least got the clear coat done by them.
