I did this to my Tahoe. It's easy, Carl. Do it.

As much as i like HID's, without projectors, they are way to blinding for the other poor drivers on the road. Dont feel like being the ass responsible for causing an accident because im blinding everyone else coming the other way.

There have been many cars utilizing HID's without projector setups. The GMT800 Excalades, 2nd Generation G35's, etc. have all done it. Aiming appropriately matters a lot and is often something overlooked by a lot of those that upgrade to HID's from halogens.

Those reflectors were desinged for HID use...

Aiming helps, but there's only so much you can do when your light housing is designed for a filament instead of an electrical arc

The kind of reflector housing makes a huge difference, too...

If it's low beam only, it's not too bad...

A little too blue for my driving tastes, but they do look good Carl

Really? :jester:

They are still reflectors and not projectors. I've never had a single person flash me in any vehicle that I've retrofitted with HID's. If one is careful, and diligent about making them work out, they usually do.

:pfingers:

Reflectors designed for HID's have a different focal point than halogen reflectors...

Aiming does help, but it doesn't get rid of all the glare... After a point, people just stop caring

It's not as much of an issue in a quad headlight setup as it is in a two light setup...
