Damn Winter Rims

Well... I was having problems last year with my winter rims losing air.. and everyone thought it was the valve stems (I think I've replaced them 2 times already) so I have them put new ones on before they mounted them this winter..

Mounted Wed Nov 24th. I put ~ 45psi in each tire.

Checked them today..

Driver Front: 38psi
Driver Rear: 23psi
Pass Front: 26psi
Pass Rear: 44psi


Grrr..

So now I think I'm done with these rims... I'm tired of putting more and more money into them having stems fixed or rims switched out.. or putting more air into them.. (Don't own a compressor at my new place)

I think I"m gonna try and find some OEM FX4 or FX2 wheels and some used tires and just switch them out myself.. Hell, I'd even go for something else if the price is right. OEM Rims on eBay are going for pretty expensive, at least more than I want to spend.

So if you guys come across any deals let me know.. I've been keeping an eye on classifieds on a few other forums.. The problem I've ran into so far is shipping on wheels/tires isn't cheap, so the price would have to be low to start with..

were you get them mounted have you asked for them to put grease on the rims? on any used rims i especially want them to put murphy`s grease on the bead contact area, it seals the two and prevents further rust and corrosion, were 90% of the slow leaks come from.
