Steering Wheel Wobble at HWY speeds

I was having that problem also, ended up my rotors were warped. Got them turned and then the vibration was gone.

at first it was a bad tie rod for me then it came back. went to hill tires in walterboro and rotors had heat fractures in them.

I know absolutely nothing about fords but my 97 GMC had an appetite for pitman and idler arms which caused the death wobble.

Honestly, take all the ideas that have been listed and make a list in order from most expensive fix to cheapest fix; start at the top. Since the broken part is always the last thing you check if you check the cheapest part last every time you can save some serious money.

My shimmy went away after I got an alignment....

Jeff, I just went through this on my 06 F150. After having the techs look at it, and coming up with nothing, I had them swap the front wheels to the rear and it went away. Turns out, the cords were seperating on one the tires. Damn Maxxis tires, it was the 3rd time we had issues with them on this truck, and I ditched them for a new set of Bridgestone Duelers.

Anyhow, you might try moving your fronts to the rear and see if there is any change.

Maxxis are Crap we had two set literally fall apart on us on our trailer 8 tires total you could see the cord the tred was just falling off

Michilien are not much better when i got my tire and wheels mine went to my brother he barley got 10k out of them they started dyring out and cracking so now he is running Falekns which are an awesome tire

x3 mine where warped in less than 20k had them turned, and 3k miles later had to have all my pads and rotors replaced but it stops amazing now

I think it is the alignment, I checked tie rods, & ball joints and they seem fine I'm gonna get an alignment this week hopefully and get them to double check the front end components.

My SRT8 used to do the same thing. Turns out the tie rods were shot! Replaced those and it went away.
