superduty?

Nope, getting my 06 F150 4x4 back from my outside sales guy. I am getting him into a Sprinter Van LOL he gonna love me. Anyhow, the 150 is okay I guess, it has 80K on it now!! I gave it to him last year with 30K

I will de-funk it, hug it, and make it my own so the Silvy can rest on the mileage, and get set aside for mods :naughty:

Bernie, having problems with the neighbors?

Well, with a few thousand bucks worth of radio gear installed now, and a recent rash of truck break-ins in the area, it's the smart thing to do.

Mostly with the truck break-ins they're going for unlocked vehicles, and only taking things that aren't difficult to get out, like GPS units and other portable electronics that get left in vehicles. My neighbor across the street got hit twice in the past six months, but he never leaves any outside lights on at night and it's dark as a dungeon over by his place once the sun goes down. My place, on the other hand, is lit up well enough at night to play softball, and the truck sits between two lights flanking my garage door and under a 150 watt mercury vapor yard light, so there's no darkness there to cover any unfriendly actions. But, still, I did have that unexplained broken passenger side door handle a couple months back. It didn't look like a break-in, no tool marks of any kind, but still...

Anyway, I'm putting in a Code Alarm 400 Pro, with extra shock sensors and pin switches for the box on the back, and their SFH-1 siren unit, which one person described on a security web site I visit as, "Oh yeah the SFH-1 was the baddest siren ever made. Sounded like an Oklahoma tornado evacuation siren." :D2

That will be mounted in the siren space on the front lightbar, using armored cable to power it. If someone tries getting into the truck with that puppy up there it'll be easy to figure who it is. "Just arrest the guy wandering around in a daze saying, 'What? What?' officer." :D2
Ya Bernie, I remember your handle getting broken a while back. Do your neighbors ever wonder what is going on at your house at night with lights like Yankee Stadium?
I hope your alarm scares off everyone. Just make sure it isn't SO sensitive that is goes off from wind or squirrels on it!

Holy shit Scott, I though you put on a lot of miles
What are your plans for the Silverado (other than the #1 being a S/C)?

Well, the S10 ran like crap on the way to school. Oh, and "one-tire-fire" sucks; even on wet roads, can't image what it will be like in snow! I really need a posi. Back on track - then it ran just fine tonight coming home from work. I can't tell if this is a moisture thing or not. It didn't run well yesterday either. I'm hoping to get the fuel filter changed this weekend. Hopefully I don't break anything :fingersx:.

Check the distributor cap, I had one a long time ago that had a hairline crack on the back side of the cap, and when it was rainy or real humid, it ran like crap. Otherwise, it ran fine. I ended up figuring out the cap by accident, but replaced it and all was well after that.

Nah, my neighbors actually like that the house is lit up at night.

Most of the lights are CFL's, two on the front porch, two flanking the garage door, one on the back deck, so even though they're 100w equivalents and pretty bright they don't take much juice, and they're all on timers. Then there's the 75w spotlight on the flagpole, the 150w mercury vapor yard light on the corner of the hose by the shed, the two motion sensor activated floods on the shed, and the other two motion activated floods on the back of the house covering the yard.

Costs us about $3.00 a month to run 'em all, and well worth it in terms of security.
