Which ford manual 5 speed is right for my build?

I am planning a build that may or may not happen. I want all the facts before I decide to go through with it. I have never built a street hugging V8 Ranger before, so I am looking into building one. The biggest issue is budget. Even though this will be a low budget build, I will not skimp on quality. One aspect I have decided on is I want a five speed standard transmission. The problem is I do not know much about them. I usually go with a slush box in my builds. I want something that will bolt to a 302 and is relatively cheap and easy to get. I will be throwing some power adders to the Ford small black. But nothing too crazy. The most I might do is a 347 stroker. But I have not made up my mind yet. Anyhoo, which tranny would be right for this build?

I would think the 5 speed behind the 5.0 in the Mustang GTs would be perfect for that.

I don't know the specs of the Stang 5 speed, but I've seen people beating on them really really hard at the local strip and they seem to hold up.

Looks like there are a bunch in the 400-500 range.
