I've been wanting to do an LED swap for a while but just finally got around to ordering what I wanted.

I'm swapping the side parking lights for 4 LED amber lights, the 3rd brake cargo lights with white LEDs, my backup lights with 6000K LEDs, license plate lights with 6000K LED lights and for the interior I've decided to see what red LEDs will look like.

I like how the white LEDs really light up the inside of the cab, but my concern is that if you're driving at night and need to turn on the light, it'll be really bright and make seeing the road more difficult. Since red light is easiest on the eyes at night, I figured I'd give it a shot.

At this point I've only got the parking LEDs installed. I know, I'm a slacker, what I can I say?

Here's the parking light LEDs, looks like I did go with the 4 LED setup, not the 2 LED one I linked to previously.

And here's what the headlight looked like prior to LED installation:

I'll try and get the rest of the LEDs installed tonight.

Looks nice Steve. I'm curious to see the reverse lamps and how much brighter they are compared to stock.

will you have blinker problems? like blinking too fast, and what about your cruise will it still work? i know it works with the resistance of the tail lights.

I like your idea of using Red LEDs on the interior, but I wouldn't use them for everything. I'd just put them in the map lights if you can. That way, you'd have all full lighting for the interior for passengers, but keep your night vision.

I'm ancious to see your reverse lights. I need to find something to match my LED tailgate bar (I hate the mis-match), but I don't want to sacrifice light output.

LEDs are nice, but they are too expensive yet. I'm waiting to do a total redo until the prices come down.

At this point I'm not replacing any blinking lights with LEDs. The amber one I've posted is the side marker/parking light, it stays constantly lit while the parking lights / headlights are on.

I'm not swapping anything on the tail lights except the reverse lights, so I can't imagine that would have any effect on the cruise control.

I'll be sure to get before and after pics. Hopefully tonight.

I think the total order was around $130, including UPS shipping.

My truck has 2 map lights (driver and passenger) and a dome light in the rear. Since the only passengers I have in my truck are my wife and my dog, I'm not too worried about keeping the rear white. Plus I think it might look a little odd when they all light up when I open the doors if the front of the cab has red light and rear is white.
