man the GMT-400s are taking a hard hit recently.

Well, it's not like I'm getting rid of it. I'm just retiring it from DD duties so I can actually focus on fixing and restoring it.

Both are good looking trucks Kyle. I like the gray one better to. I'd do a little more shopping if I were you.

Unless he 6.0L is a Vm,ax pkg in a 2006 1500 or 2007 1500 classic, AVOID it. 3/4 ton 6.0L is NOT an economical suitable DD . Go with the 5.3 1/2 ton.

Yeah, I meant a 6.0L in a 1/2-ton. I could make use of a 3/4-ton here, but I definitely don't need one.

If you're going with a GMT800, get the 6.0 and get a BB tune. I really like the ext. cab doors on them too. They got smart after our trucks and put handles on the inside to open them with. Plus the ext. cab is just a hair bigger too.

Not a big fan of the blue one. The rims just look really cheap. The gray one isn't bad, but 90k in 5yrs?????

All I can say is CraigsList. I've found both my motorcycles there, my current truck, and countless parts there. The next truck I buy will definitely be found on there too.

I went and looked at both today. The blue GMC is definitely out, it had a lot of scratches and some dents. It also needed new tires (in addition to new wheels, colormatched fender flares, door handles, etc.) The interior was a bit rough too, had some scratches on the dash and stains on the seats... er, not those kinds of stains. Not to mention, it's smelled rank too.

The greystone GMC wasn't bad though. It had a few scratches and door dings, but not as heavily as the blue one. Drove fine as well, but unfortunately they wouldn't budge at all on the price. I'm still considering it but I'm looking elsewhere for now.

Correct. A GMT-400 is a GM fullsize pickup from 1988-1998. GMT-800 is from 1999-2007 1/2 (you can have both new and old body style trucks in 2007. They made the switch half way through the year.) GMT-900 is 2007-Present.

Correct. A GMT-400 is a GM fullsize pickup from 1988-1998. GMT-800 is from 1999-2007 1/2 (you can have both new and old body style trucks in 2007. They made the switch half way through the year.) GMT-900 is 2007-Present.

AKA:
88-98 = GMT-400 = OBS
99-07 1/2 = GMT-800 = NBS
07+ = GMT-900 = NNBS

Just in case. BUT some guys prefer not calling them by the OBS/NBS/NNBS since it just gets confusing and it doesn't work all that well.

In addition, the GMT-400 3/4 and 1 ton trucks continued until 00. I've seen GMT-400 '00 3/4 ton trucks for sale before.
