F150s are slow all stock anyways, no real biggie. My model truck ran 17 down the track I believe. I bet i'm down to the 16s now, high 15s with stock wheels & tires. Wish there was a track near by.

Cant wait for the 6.2L to come out for Fords

I still want one!

Well it's an off-road vehicle, I didn't think Ford built it for the strip. Take that Camaro or Mustang it was racing against and put them on trails, who'll win that one?:dunno:

this. We're pitting a truck against a purpose built wedge on wheels. The Raptor has some nasty offroad stats and some decent-by-stock-standards numbers on road. But stock truck versus motorized doorstop? no chance.

hell.. my truck runs a 17 flat. lol. and its no where near stock in weight or rotating mass... lol. I figured that truck would be at least in a 15.... not 16.5 consistently. Even tho its built for offroad.. its still built to haul ass off road... lol.

Could you take your truck out stock and do this though?

Lose the graphics and the PTM logo in the grille and that'd look much better. Painting the mirrors to match would also help. Not sure what it is about those mirrors but they look cheap. :dunno:

I'd surely drive the F out of that thing though.

it still should perform better. I dont care if its off road purpose built or not. Its part of the SVT and ford should have repped it better with a better powerplant. 16.5 out of a specialty vehicle is terrible. And its not like its a budget off road truck either.. they are expensive. With the money they get for them.. id want a whole lot more. But thats just me.

But a lot of guys actually use their giant off-road rigs off-road too. everyone is different. :jester:

its SVT but look at the way ford handles their special vehicles. when a Harley F150 came out the past 2 body styles they started with the super cab models, the next model year they offered the crew cab, next model year they offer the supercharged crew cab. Its all about making money, if they didnt get you with last years lure they put out better bait. So for the second wave of Raptors we get the 6.2, next is crew cab and then the supercharged one. I dont know if Gm handled things the same way but Ford knows how to sell.
