< Yes that was my foot!!!!
When I hit the lotto I'll fly out to help you out!
I love my cam, the Tahoe still pulls hard even without the Maggie!
What cam did you say I should slap in my Tahoe???![]()
In all honesty, I would go with the one I have in mine (I think you have the 5.3). It is as great DD cam, and will work fantastic if you go FI. It is a CompCam 206/212 115LSA.
I've been considering it! Thanks!
What else would I need to swap?
You need a MINIMUM of new lifters along with the cam. I'd do pushrods and new rockers if you want to do things right...
Even better... find a low mile 5.3 or 6.0 and do it!![]()

On the LS based engines, neither of those seem to be necessary. The only guys I know of that have swapped out lifters are guys who were getting rid of AFM (on the GEN IV engines), and I've never heard of anyone swapping replacing OEM rockers with OEM, and the aftermarket rockers are a waste of money for the amount of power you gain.

Lifters are always necessary when swapping our cams. Each lifter wears into a particular cam... Especially important when an engine has some miles.

I've never know ANYBODY who swapped cams without replacing lifters. I would not do it. Not in an engine that had some miles.

Might be some more exciting pics for the exploded view of engines.![]()

We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one Danno.![]()
