Glad he got the car. That's cool that they upgraded him to a 2010 in the process.

True, he did get the 2010 upgrade, but I just wonder if they helped themselves too by doing that. There has probably been a price drop from the manufacture to the dealers for the 2010 models.

Apparently it was an honest mistake. The dealer lowered the buy it now price but in the process accidentally erased his reserve. Those who have dealt with Ebay auctions know how much their software sucks. If any of us had done such a thing with one of our own Ebay auctions, we would be crying foul and trying to figure out a way out of it.

Car dealers are businesses just like any other business. They do not buy $40,000 cars for $20,000 like a lot of idiots think they do. They screwed up and it cost them. I think they were idiots for upgrading the car myself.

Glad it worked out, but the dealer got screwed.

I'm still trying to figure out how anybody in their right mind would pay 40 grand plus for a Challenger.

WOW!

:werd:

But I am glad it worked out for the guy:thumbs:

They're really nice looking exterior wise but the interiors are awful when compared to all the other cars it competes with. I'd consider one for the exterior looks but never for 40k. 30k is fair though...haha.

I've never worked much with Ebay. If Ebay is at fault, they don't take responsibility?

Ebay doesn't take responsibility for shit. And they have their little disclaimers already to go, when you send them an email telling them they screwed up. I have had losses on stuff before, because most good stuff will get bids in the last 5 minutes. I have had 4 items end one time when there was a 20-30 minute outage. I had to sell 2 of the items at the price of the highest bidder when the outage happened. Luckily the other 2 items, had 24hours added to it, but still, it didn't close on a good day for higher bidder traffic. This was way back when, but I am sure they still have gliches that they don't responsibility for.
