I am going to buy a new truck some time between tomorrow and next May, depending on when I can get the best deal. I need the truck by May at the latest, so will have to order it by at least early March. I need the truck to tow a triple axle fifth wheel toy hauler that has a GVWR of 16,900 lbs. The truck will not be a daily driver, but rather, will sit in the garage except for when it is needed to tow. So creature comforts like leather seats were not as important as functional components. I looked at Ford, GM, and Dodge, and decided on the following truck... (cut and paste from Dodge's "build my own" web site)

2010 Ram 3500 Crew ST 4x4 $41,550

Dark Slate/Medium Graystone Interior Color
Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl Coat Exterior Paint

6.7-Liter I6 Cummins® Turbo Diesel Engine

6-Speed Automatic 68RFE Transmission $1,575
4.10 Axle Ratio $50

Monotone Paint Included
17" x 6.0" Steel Argent Wheels Included
LT235/80R17E BSW All Season Tires Included
Media Center 130 CD/MP3 Radio Included
ST Popular Equipment Group $520
Premium Cloth 40/20/40 Bench Seat Included
40/20/40 Split Bench Seat Included

When do you guys think will be the best time to buy? Right now incentives on the 2010 HDs is $0, so obviously now is NOT the best time to buy.

Sounds like a sweet rig. I'd love to have a Cummins, but in 5.9 form.

2011 or so F150 when the 6.2L comes out. I'm not in a rush since I have low income and bills to pay, but I paid off my F150 and i'm at 82k miles. Hoping shortly after turning 100k on selling it and getting a new model.
