Transmission clunk, just started at 5k! Intermittent, so I know it will not happen at the dealership.

Popping noise in the steering the 1st week of ownership. The dealer said a dust boot rapped around the steering linkage?? Hasn't reoccurred

Grease the slip yoke. 15 minutes of work versus a day at the dealership hoping they hear it. Problem solved!

I need to grease mine soon. I only hear it every now and then and I know it isn't really a problem, but when I hear it and know I could do something about it but haven't, it pisses me off. :fume:

Mind is a 2wd, is it the same issue?

Yipper. It's a small hassle but I did mine and it took about 15 minutes. Worth it not to have to take it and leave it at the dealer.

I'll go find my thread on the slip yoke and post a link here... BRB.

that would be good...because if it is a 15 min fix, maybe even I could be a DIY...

Edit... thanks Jim

It worked great on my last 3 GM trucks. You'd THINK GM might change something since it happens to every truck eventually...

Otherwise my Sierra has been absolutely excellent. I'm quite happy.

I am also, minus a few minor things here and there. I love the way these RCSB GMT900's look!
