True. Brake squeal is actually a seriously high pitched chatter or squeal caused by vibration of the pad in the caliper brought on by contact with the rotor, but the ceramic pads are far less likely to chatter than the old semi-metallic pads because of the way the ceramic material interacts with the steel rotor surface.

I suppose both could squeal but the ceramics have always cured any brake noise issue I had. I realize that is not a scientific finding... but it worked for me! :cool:

I had the lifters ticking that you may have heard of on the 900.

No probs here at all...my 2000 was the same way: trouble-free.

I've had a vew electrical gremlins and I can't keep front brake pads on it. Overall very happy with the truck.
