If you're planning on keeping it, reliability wise, deleting is good... All the soot that doesn't go into your DPF is blasted back into your engine with the EGR ;)

If you're planning on trading it in a few years, keep it stock

I keep getting told I might as well start shipping for the 5er and dually now. :)

Just get a 5er! You don't need no stinkin' dually. I love the way my set-up handles, fully loaded with the 20s and the air bags at 50 psi. Fuggin' flies.

That answers a question i kept meaning to ask about whether you bagged this one. Which bags do you recommend?

I like the Firestones and the Airlifts. I have put bags on every truck I have had for the last 20 years, and this is my first set of Airlifts on a 2500. They are nice, but I don't think they have anything over the Firestones. I have flat abused some Firestones

To add: Bags have nothing to do with "Do I really need them??" The answer is no. Airbags make everything better on a truck with a load, period. There is no argument against them. This is my 4th 2500HD with bags, and I have loaded them way over the rating for the axles (but within tire limits) and life is good. For our particular trucks, they take all the "jounce" out when pulling a travel trailer. I dragged that 29 footer down from AK on the worst freaking roads America, and western Canuckland have. Minimal bouncey-bouncey :D

When you had the 29 footer, did you use a WD hitch?
I use my WD hitch with my 27 footer... It makes a difference.

I've always used one as well, and they do make a difference...I was more trying to see if a WD and bags work well together, or if they're more an either-or thing. :)
The only time I really noticed a difference on my half-ton was on really big bumps, or extended lengths of frost heaves, or when I was towing the trailer with water in it, and didn't re-adjust the bars.

I originally installed them on that truck so I could haul my ATV without sagging the suspension...

On this truck, the 1150lbs of ATV doesn't really move the suspension at all, lol. The trailer only drops the back of the truck 3/4 - 1".

How heavy is your trailer? That'll make a difference in how much of a difference the bags will make. They're still a good thing to have, however.

With a full tank of gas, and my ATV in the back, plus food/clothes and such, my toy hauler weighs almost exactly 10k.

I can only relate suspension movement, however... Anything stability related, I have an advantage, lol

My trailer is 7k dry and 10 gvwr. I haven't fully loaded the trailer with the bikes and all the gear yet, so i don't know what the real number is, nor how having so much weight (streetglide + softail) in the back will affect it. I also put loads in the bed a few times a year, up to a pallet (ton) of wood pellets, so the bags would be nice for that too.

For hauling things in the box alone, the bags are worth it. The trailer effects are a bonus.

I'd say your two bikes are within the ballpark od my ATV, maybe a little heavier.
