My "new" Ram is a 2008, despite having cylinder deactivation and trying to drive with a light foot, I average around 13mpg, of mid-grade. The Chevy was an '05 w/5.3 and got closer to 16 on regular.The new Rams with the 8 speed get better FE than the GMs do.

All of a sudden, 11.5 mpg in my '99 doesn't sound too bad, considering the size and weight of it. Of course, it's a diesel, so I'm already paying about 40 cents a gallon more than regular.
