According to these two magazines (that I happen to subscribe to) the Raptor is a huge success. Far more than a couple of skid plates and a Z71 sticker... this truck actually brings the goods. Other than a "rough ride" (really? WTF?) these guys have nothing but good to spew...

GM and Dodge are going to be doing some real catch up... and I'm a GM truck guy!

They need to be anyway. Whether they will or not, I guess we'll see.

I've never been a huge Ford truck fan myself... admittedly. I do think the Raptor is a very significant truck. It's the sort of "new mark" that makes the breed better for everybody.

We all win... no matter what brand we like.

Raptor is a gimmick truck. It's main goal is to get people into the dealership to look at them. And when they do most of the potential buyers end up settling for a regular f-150 or a taurus or whatever else.
Got to remember GM stole a lot of thunder from ford with the camaro and zr1 releases.

Certainly it is a marketing tool They all do that... but this one is at least something more than the typical American manufacturer "special edition" that consists of zooty seat covers and decals. This one actually brings the goods with it to some degree.

Maybe, just maybe that will make GM and Dodge do the same. I hope!
